I Wish I Were a Princess

BEFORE I START THE REST OF THIS POST, A QUICK LIFE UPDATE:
Helllooooo, everyone! I feel as though I have to apologize for not posting as much. I've been really busy with school/the play, and the computer I usually upload all my stuff to/work on stuff decided to go and shut itself down for a while! YAY! Therefore, I've been having to do everything on my mom's comp or our laptop with limited memory. SO, THERE YOU GO.

Anyways, I went to homecoming!
I had never been to a dance before (despite the fact my ~6th grade friends~ were all like "GO YOU'LL HAVE SO MUCH FUNNNNN OMG") and it was SUPER FUN!
I totally loved gettin' fancy and just DANCING LIKE CRAZY.
I feel like no one dances anymore. Like, even if you're at a dance, everyone just kind of awkwardly moves their arms and wiggles a little.
Like, WHERE ARE THE DANCES?! Back in the '60s, everyone did the Twist, or the Mashed Potato, and now I feel like we do ~The Nothing~.
BUT, THAT BEING SAID, it was totally rad! At first me and my friends were like "OH GOD WHAT DO WE DO", and then I got really into it, way more than I expected to.
Here I am, after getting ready *alone*:

Dress: vintage from Etsy
I totally adored my outfit. I felt all cool and rad and '60s, and, at first, I was going to wear *4-INCH HEELS*, but I was like "I'VE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE I'M TOO SCARED HELP" and opted for my regular brown flats.
I did a raccoon-y cat-eye, wore some cover-up as lipstick, and teased/rolled my hair into a beehive. After I bobby pinned it, I hair-sprayed the hell out of it.
It was definitely the most secure beehive I've ever done.

Then, I had to wake up really early the next morning (yeah, I was effing exhausted) and get ready to go on a TRIP!
WHERE I BOUGHT THESE AWESOME GLASSES (and wore this Tavi-inspired outfit)!

My radical pins

THEN WE WENT TO THIS JAPANESE DOLLAR STORE, and I bought MORE AWESOME STUFF!

I bought that effing awesome doll for $1.50, and then I obviously had to buy her a maid outfit.
Duh.

Me looking sassy while holding my ~new~ $1.50 UMBRELLA!

While on this super-awesome trip, I was just ~walking along~ and SUDDENLY, WHAM! I fell into this really deep hole in the sidewalk, fell forward and hit my shoulder against a poll, then fell BACKWARDS onto the rest of the sidewalk and ripped my yellow tights!
Fun!

So now I'm yellow tightless :'(

ANYWAYS, this is an outfit I put together in literally 3 minutes:

Rosemary's Baby necklace: from Etsy
Shirt (which  is actually a dress): vintage from Ottolines Oddities Etsy
Corduroy pants: Gloria Vanderbilt
Boots: thirifted

It was really '70s and my director said I looked lovely with my hair up, even though I look like a giant baby in pants in these pictures. PLUS, I got to wear my new ~corduroy Gloria Vanderbilt pants~, which are soooooo comfy and make feel like a QUEEN.

Oh, and here I am a few weeks ago in a witchy outfit (I only got my make-up on camera, though. TEARS), which made me feel like a badass.

OH, AND MY NAILS WERE LOOKIN' FINE.

I feel really MAD at myself, because I have been wearing RADICAL outfits and I've been way too lazy to photograph them. WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?

Let's have a moment of silence for our lost outfits.
Amen.

P.S. This was a really WORDY post, so if it was too much for you to bear, I UNDERSTAND.

  2. The beehive is amazing, your first dress is so beautiful and 60s but not in the really obvious way. Oh and I will have to steal those pins.
