Why Must I Be a Teenager In Love?

I  wore this outfit to go to this fairly new antique-y shop in my town! It was super cool there, and of course I had to dress like I was from 1960.

Earrings: Girl Props
Dress: Etsy
Belt: Ross
Tights: Wal-Mart
Shoes: Pleaser

One of the sleeves of this dress started to get undone months ago, so it's been out of business for a while. My mom sewed it for me, and now I want to wear it FOREVER EVER EVER! This is probably my favorite dress ever, and it was one of the first vintage dresses I ever had. It's so cute and Tracy-ish and has always been the dress of my ~DREAMS~!

I did my classic cat-eye with some super cute bright red lipstick and my record earrings! My bangs also looked so '50s-ish and AMAZING, kind of like Rhoda's from The Bad Seed (*sigh* HER BANGS MAKE ME WANT TO CRY UGH I DON'T EVER KNOW).

I didn't get any pictures at the antique shop (ughhh), but I looked super ADORBS, and this outfit is definitely going down as one of my favorite things I've worn EVER!

Did You Hear They Got Pinned?

Right after I had made my Easter beehive, I totally felt the need to make an impromptu photo shoot! It was just me in my room and I was trying to capture all these Bye Bye Birdie, '60s gossipy sleepover ~vibez~. (It's like the one year annsiversary of when I first saw it (IT'S LIKE THE BEST MOVIE EVER?? GRRR I LOVE IT SO MUCH) so I'm feeling all nostalgic). Imagine beehives and Elvis records in the background and pink rotary phones and swooning over hunks while talking about how Brad and Janet (Rocky Horror reference, duh) got pinned and are finally going steady! The Beatles shirt is from Hottopic a few years ago, the nightgown was my great-grandmas, and the Movie Teen magazine is from Etsy. OH, and listen to this, of course, to get in ultimate '60s sleepover mode!

Now ou guys all invited to a virtual slumber party where we dress up in old gowns and listen to Bobby Rydell, duh.

Groovy Baby

I am so, so, so, SO in love with this dress.

Ignore my blanket/ messy clothes/ awesome painted heart I did in the corner because I was bored/my weird positions
Hair clips: dollar store
Dress: Etsy (gift from 'rents)
Tights: Walmart
Shoes: Pleaser

It is so amazing and flower child-y and makes me feel like I should be the 4th Brady Bunch sister (even though I don't have blonde hair or curls or anything...)

IT.IS.THE.BEST.THING.EVER.

I was going for a late '60s/early '70s look, like I really am a lost Brady sister/'70s high school girl who wears flowers in her hair and obsesses over David Cassidy (actually accurate description of me).

The detailing on this dress is ANOTHER PERFECT REASON TO LOVE IT. Look at the flowers!!

I also did really rad '60s/'70s make-up with light blues and light peachy pinks. THAT'S RIGHT, I DITCHED THE CAT EYE. It was painful for mama, but I SURVIVED. All the make-up here is really old, crappy dollar store stuff that isn't even worth mentioning (I'm cheap and poor and never throw anything away).

ONCE AGAIN, THESE SHOES FOREVERRRR.

Nail polish: Wet 'n' Wild
Rings: "LOVE" one from Forever 21, other one from when I was like 7 (THESE RINGS SO RULE)

I did SWEET ~COSMIC~ NAIL ART with super duper gorgeous moons! My thumb looks super amazing and exactly how I wanted it to, whereas most of the rest kind of look like weird sort of circles with little dots in the middle. It also continued my '70s/cosmic theme I was going for!
I didn't decorate my right hand, which I'm gonna say is because I'm too cool for that, but it's actually because I can't do any kind of decent nail art on my right hand.

LOOK AT THESE GORG pictures I took today! The sky was amazing and I was internally freaking out because IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL and so perfect!

I am now also super obsessed with Gun Club, AKA THE BEST THING EVER (I couldn't find a good picture of them, which is SO SAD). Their music is like the epitome of perfectness! I'M CRAZY OBSESSED! "She's Like Heroin To Me" is my favorite song right now and GAH IT'S AMAZING LISTEN TO IT, GUYSSSSSSS!

I've wanted to blog a whole bunch these past few days, but I didn't know about what. I've been feeling super ~*!ARTISTICALLY!*~ inspired these past few days, but not super inspired in most other stuff, which includes ye olde blorg. DON'T WORRY, THOUGH, BABES, I am back from the tiny blog break I took, and I have LOTS LINED UP 4 U <3 <3 <3

We Are The Hell Cats Nobody Likes

I watched She-Devils on Wheels on Friday, so I spent a good part of the weekend bitchfacing and acting like I was a Man Eater while wearing a beehive and my biker-y boots.

SORRY FOR THE POOR QUALITY! It was dark and I was outside. BUT, I did a half up/half down beehive and I think it was the greatest I'VE EVER DONE! It was perfectly round and amazing and GAH I'M SO PROUD!!! <3

Hair bow: Hottopic (don't judge)
Bag: thrifted
Shirt: Etsy
Sweater: thrifted
Pants: Gloria Vanderbilt
Boots: thrifted

All the pictures were really weird, 'cause it was night and I had taken my boots off when my brother took a picture of the full outfit and then I was like "WAIT NOW THE OUTFIT IS RUINED AHHHH."
Also, I never wear those pants, because they're like two years old and really short/tight, but now they may be a permanent wardrobe staple!

My LOVE button is vintage from the grandma's personal buttons (yessss), my Baltimore button is from Parsnip & Pear on Etsy, and my heart one/vintage girl's face is from Boo Radley's.

I'm also now making a zine called Man Eaters, which is pretty much gonna be an ode to She-Devils, best friends, and girl-gangy stuff (COMPLETE WITH A "WHICH GIRL GANG ARE YOU?" QUIZ. YEP I'M EXCITED.)

My whole inspiration was the Man Eaters, specifically Queen, and her hair/color coordinated outfits! UGH, QUEEN, CAN I BE YOU?! (Minus the murder and stuff.) Anyways, I think I may do a WHOLE POST on the ~*perfect*~ fashion in that movie, because it is now ONE OF MY FAVES! You should totally watch it if you haven't seen it, because it made my heart go BOOM BOOM with all the fashion/campiness/hair and stuff. I totally want my own girl gang, but we wouldn't chop off heads and or anything.

Plus this song! UGH I LOVE YOU, MAN EATERS.

So, I've been trying to blog a bunch, but trying to squeeze blogging and homework and daily life and ~TEENAGE EMOTIONS~ into daily life is kind of like trying to squeeze a hog into a pickle barrel! (ahahahahahaha) (wait wat)
I'm also a bit out of ideas! I've been working on some new stuff, but it's hard to develop everything. Maybe I should start doing movie reviews? DIYs? Favorite blogs? DEEP THOUGHTS? Tell me, dear reader, what I SHOULD DO. You are the voice of the people!

Peppermint Candy Queen

 Dress: vintage from Etsy
Sweater: thrifted
Tights: Forever 21
Shoes: Torrid

I really dig using this dress as a skirt kind of thing, because I can't find any '60s patterned skirts! UGH, LIFE! I JUST WANNA LOOK LIKE TRACY TURNBLAD, OKAY?
Plus it was all very candy cane-ish looking, and it's almost Christmas! AREN'T I FESTIVE?!

I also did a weird beehive! It was kind of squarish and messy, BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO?

I added this one 'cause I thought it was cute <3____<3

Eyeliner: Hard Candy
Lipstick: Revlon in British Red

MY KIND OF CRAPPY EYELINER. I only had like 10 minutes to do it! THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I'M RUSHED!

Buttons: handmade and vintage

Although we're moving into ~winter~, I'm feeling all these '60s school vibes! Lots of skirts/sweaters/plaid/OH NO SUMMER'S OVER I'M GONNA CRY feelings.
